Identification of Breakages in Different types of Barriers

The work mainly concentrates on the identification of Breakages in different types of barriers seen in Bannerghatta National Park.

METHODOLOGY –
We used ArcGIS to plot breakages in the barriers with the data provided by the organization. We created a trial map having the information about types of barriers and breakages.

LOCATION –
A Rocha Field Study Centre

ORIENTATION PROGRAM–
We had an orientation program under the guidance of Mr. Dilip Kumar AV (Research Assistant, A Rocha). He explained about the projects that have been done there and gave an idea about the GIS assistance needed for the ongoing project. Later we got a quick tour around the field, and he introduced us to some Elephant barriers. He gave us a small session regarding Elephant identification.
