ABOUT THE COURSE
Introduction:
ArcGIS/Q-GIS. MicroStation and LPS2011 are GIS is the most popular software available to perform any GIS type work. This course is geared toward understanding the fundamental concepts of:

Geographic Information Science, Remote Sensing, and Cartography.

Geoprocessing, Network Analysis, Spatial Analysis, Land Use, and Land Cover, HotSpot Analysis, Interpoloation, Web Services (WMS and WFS)

Spatial Query, Spatial Database Concepts with PostGIS(QGIS), Introduction to Geoserver using QGIS.

Analyze spatial data (Extract, Overlay and Proximity), 3D Analysis.
The candidate(s) will be made familiar with the Analysis concepts of GIS, remote sensing and definitions such as spatial imagery, digital image, and digital image processing/analysis etc. amongst others. Different variety of spatial data will be introduced and worked upon. Introduction to spatial analysis will provide an understanding for opting appropriate analysis tool for specific project.
Prerequisite:
Basic to Intermediate Level Understanding of GIS and Remote Sensing.
